His new album, Weird! is a story of life. As Yungblud has explained, ‘we are all ten different people at any given time’ and this album explains just that.
Weird! is an album full of amazing tracks. Each one has its own story, whether it is that of Yungblud himself, one of his fans or anyone else. Every song is meant to connect with the audience in a specific and personal way.
“Mars” in particular is a track that is based on a trans girl from Maryland, who wasn’t understood by those around her. Yungblud’s music helped her and her family come together through this, and the story touched his heart. Because of this, the song is beautiful both in story and melody.
“Mars” is not the only track to look at on this album. Yungblud has released a couple of singles from the album that are also impossible to stay away from. “Cotton Candy” is an amazing song with a fun rock sound and Yungblud’s signature aesthetic.
