Anya Mia has been a keen musician and songwriter since a very young age. Having been trained in the flute, and enhancing her sing-songwriter capabilities as a teenager, Anya Mia is certainly a very talented new artist. This talent shines through in her recent EP.
Looking For Heaven’s Ghost fuses a variety of styles, namely pop, rock, and soul, into an infectious style that is unique to Anya Mia. Mia notes that as a result of her exposure to multiple genres including RnB, funk, and rock, as a teenager, her music then reflects this diversity of musical genres.
Opening the EP is the Joni Mitchell reminiscent track, Freight Train. This track with Anya Mia’s soulful lyrics and voice is definitely the greatest track to introduce the entire collection of works.
The title track, Looking For Heaven’s Ghost, was actually written by the artist when she was a young teenager, proving her capabilities as a talented and trained musician. With ska-like syncopated beats and thoughtful lyrics, this track will satisfy any funk, soul, or pop fans.
