Quaran-T is the new and exciting release from up and coming artist, Azuri Moon. Azuri Moon is a multi-talented, virtuosic guitar player. Alongside the guitar, Azuri Moon plays a number of other instruments to an extremely high level also. Hailing from Santa Cruz in California, Azuri Moon now resides in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.
Quaran-T is a concept album that Azuri Moon had written over the quarantine period. Quaran-T is a special release ahead of the artist’s debut album, The Ridge: Vol. 1, release in September 2020. Quaran-T is a musical collection of the artist’s ‘thoughts, feelings, inspirations, and hurdles during quarantine.’ Azuri Moon notes that he likes to ‘find music that inspires me and I like to make music that hopefully inspires.’ This new EP release will certainly inspire many listeners today.
Opening the collection is the funky, electronic track, Nostalgia. Setting the scene for the entire EP, Nostalgia really gives us an in depth look into Azuri Moon’s musical style and technical abilities. Tracks such as No Way Around it and I Got That ‘Coltrane,’ further develop the artist funk and jazz styles, giving us catchy tunes with undeniably interesting lyrics.
As Quaran-T is only the beginning of the new music scheduled to be released by Azuri Moon this year, it is certainly a great insight into the exciting things that are left to come. Quaran-T is available to stream via Youtube and Spotify now:
