London based R&B artist Cakes has recently released his latest album, Isolation Wait. Cakes is truly talented, as he writes, produces and performs all of his own music. He often draws on a variety of genres, ranging from Soul, Hip Hop, R&B and Electronica.
Isolation Wait is an interesting meld of R&B and Electronica. The album is a new step for Cakes, as he explores a deeper side of R&B. He defines the track as a ‘real labor of love.’ This is something you can really see, through the detail and emotion put into the album. Isolation Wait is definitely worth the listen.
