Debuting in 2019 with her single “Mean It”, singer songwriter Gracie Abrams has spent the last few years perfecting her sound. After releasing her debut project, minor, she is back again with a new collection of singles, including “Feels Like” and “Mess It Up”. These tracks are a gorgeous sample of her sound and lyricism, as well as her growth over her career.
“Feels Like” has a smooth and light feel to it. It discusses the feeling of being with someone and being utterly enamored with them. The song is gorgeous and seems to bring the idea of a certain someone to your mind. “Feels Like” is an incredible example of Abrams’s vocals and overall skill as a musician.
Like “Feels Like,” “Mess It Up” is another beautiful song. This track has more of a propelling feel than its more flowy companion. The intense strumming that leads the song is an amazing addition to Abrams’s lyrics. It also pairs beautifully with her incredible voice.
Gracie Abrams has an incredible sound. Her music is as honest and raw as it is perfected and clean. If you haven’t had the chance to experience her music, now is most certainly the time to do it.
