In the Mind of Education, hosted by elementary school teacher Josh Hendrickson, gives listeners a chance to see the world through the eyes of a child. Each week, Hendrickson sits down with a group of 5th graders and asks them burning questions, like ‘if you were a teacher for a day, what would you teach?’ or ‘should video games be considered a sport?’. The resulting conversations are not only adorable, but surprisingly insightful. A lifelong learner, Hendrickson believes listening to the often whimsical thoughts of a child can help us not only be better educators, but also to be better learners. Hendrickson’s 5th graders remind us that while we may be older, we aren’t necessarily wiser.
